Data Deletion Policy
Deleting your VIDA RPG data is simple, because all of it is on your device and nowhere else. The only exception, since 2.16.0, is the query credit balance, if you buy any (section 5).
1. There are no accounts
VIDA RPG has no user accounts, no registration and no passwords. There is nothing to close, because nothing was ever created on any server. The developer has no way to identify you or to link a game to a person.
2. Where your data is
Your entire game (character, avatar, habits, vices, missions, goals, texts, progress, preferences) lives exclusively in the app's private storage on your device. It is not sent to any server and there is no VIDA RPG cloud copy.
3. How to erase your progress from inside the app
- Open VIDA RPG and go to More → Settings.
- Tap "Reset the game".
- Tap again to confirm. The app asks twice because the game cannot be recovered.
On confirmation, all progress is erased: character, avatar (including the skin and hair tones taken from a photo, if you created it that way), habits, vices, missions, goals, texts, suns, experience, streak, records, achievements and history. Scheduled reminders are cancelled. Only your chosen language is kept, so you are not asked again.
4. Uninstalling the app
Uninstalling VIDA RPG permanently deletes all game information from the device. No copy whatsoever remains with the developer: there is no server to request deletion of the game from, no retention period and no residual data. On Android, system backup is also disabled for this app. If you bought query credits, their balance stays on the Coach server, tied to an anonymous identifier, until you ask for its deletion or 24 months pass without activity (section 5).
5. What is outside our reach
- Files you exported. If you used "Export", the file is wherever you saved it. Delete it yourself if you want it gone.
- iCloud backup (iPhone). If enabled, your game may be part of your own device's backup, inside your Apple account. It is managed from the iCloud settings.
- AI Coach. Since 2.15.0, the coach server on Cloudflare does not store or log your queries: all it keeps, for the current day only, is a counter linked to a digest (fingerprint) of the random installation ID and another of the IP address, salted with the date, which are replaced the next day. The IP fingerprint is not irreversible: from it, an IPv4 address could be recovered by trying them all; that is why it is kept for that day only. Queries made up to 2.14 were processed by Google's services through Firebase, without any data that identifies you, under Google's terms. The developer keeps none of those queries.
- Ads. If you asked to watch an ad, what Google AdMob collected to show it is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can change your consent in Settings → Ads → Ad privacy, and reset or delete the advertising ID from Android's settings.
- PRO subscription. It is cancelled from Google Play or the App Store, like any subscription. The purchase record belongs to the store and to RevenueCat, under an anonymous identifier, under their policies.
- Query credits. Since 2.16.0, if you buy query credits, the Coach server on Cloudflare keeps their balance, the order number of each purchase with its product, its date and whether it was refunded, the last day with activity and a short list of the latest uses, tied to the anonymous identifier that RevenueCat generates, not to your name. Resetting the game or uninstalling the app does not delete them. You can ask for them to be deleted: write to vidarpgapp@gmail.com with the order number from your receipt; any credits you have not spent are lost when they are deleted. If you do not ask, they are deleted automatically after 24 months without activity (no purchases, no credits spent and no recoveries). If you have only reinstalled the app and want to keep the balance, there is no need to delete anything: it can be recovered in Settings → Query credits → "Recover my credits", with the order number. Since 2.17.0, that server also keeps which soundtrack pieces you have unlocked with credits: they come back with the balance when you recover it, and they are deleted with the rest, on request or after 24 months without activity, which means they are lost as well.
- Access codes. Since 2.17.1, if you redeem a code, the Coach's server does not store the code, your ID or your IP: only, for that day, a digest (fingerprint) of the IP and another of the installation ID to limit attempts, deleted the next day, and, for the trial code, how many times it has been redeemed in total, with no data about who. Nothing of yours is left on the server to delete. The grant is stored in your game and is erased with it; the date of the first trial and the latest time seen are kept on the phone, outside the game: resetting the game does not erase them, and uninstalling the app or clearing its data does.
